Databot for Virginia Educators!

Databot is expanding support for Virginia science educators with free professional development, Virginia SOL alignment, and practical implementation guidance to help schools bring live sensor data into existing science instruction.

See Databot at VAST

Visit the Virtual Science Teachers table at the VAST Conference, November 12–14, and meet Suzanne Sprague, Founder of Virtual Science Teachers. Explore Databot in person, see live sensor investigations in action, and discuss ways to integrate Databot into your classroom, school, or district.

New Climate Science Curriculum

Our new climate science series uses live sensor data to make important concepts visible, measurable, and ready for student investigation. Activities explore topics including:

  • Albedo & Solar Energy — absorption, reflection, and surface temperature
  • Combustion & CO2 — connecting fuel use to the carbon cycle
  • Greenhouse Gases — investigating carbon dioxide and heat
  • Microclimates — collecting and comparing real-world environmental data
  • UV & Climate — exploring ultraviolet radiation and environmental connections

Activities combine hands-on science with data collection, graphing, analysis, and evidence-based reasoning.
